(we live in new york two hours from the boarder)What do you need to do and take to get married in canada?
I take it from your reference to the 鈥榝alls鈥?and your location they are considering marrying in Ontario. Whether or not that鈥檚 the case what you need is about the same in every province I can think of. You must be 18 to be married in Ont, they need to get a marriage license application form. You can get one from a municipal office in that city if there is a license issuer there OR download the a Marriage License application form from the Gov of Ont website and mail it back to them. Identification, such as a birth certificate (along with any change of name certificates), current passport, photo identification to prove your current legal name and age. Final Divorce papers if they were married before must be shown.

Its best if they just call the Provincial Gov in the province they want to marry and they can guide them as to anything else they may need and the costs of all involved. As for a nice place...there are MANY beautiful places in St Catherine's or right there in Niagara, there is few more lovely places then Niagara on the Lake country club...anywhere there really... Good luck to them! What do you need to do and take to get married in canada?

You need a marriage license.

Google up ``Niagara falls weddings``. There are tons of sites, as I guess it`s a popular thing for people to do. I found one website that had this info:

``To be married in Niagara is very easy as long as one is not divorced out side Canada. All you need is a valid marriage licence. Most days you can get the licence same day. To obtain information regarding buying a wedding licence in Niagara Falls click see: http://www.niagarafalls.ca/city_hall/dep鈥?/a> An application for a marriage licence (PDF) is located at: http://www.niagarafalls.ca/city_hall/dep鈥?/a>
