If you marry her while she is visiting the government will assume that you both planned this marriage as a way to get around immigration rules. There is a risk she will not be able to adjust status and stay here with you. She risks being deported.
It will be up to both of you to prove that marriage was not in your plans, that it was a spur of the moment decision and that she still has a life back in Japan. If she gave up her job in Japan to come here that is going to be hard. Ditto for her home. She would have to show that her life is back in Japan and prove beyond doubt that she never even thought of getting married to you.

if you two get married here and she goes back to Japan, it might be difficult for her to enter the U.S.
The reason is that, when she applied for tourist visa, she was asked if she has any immigration intent.
The best I would suggest is that she flies back to Japan and reapply for K-1 visa. And then you two get married within 90 days. And ask her that she can not leave the U.S. until she receive the green card.
She is eligible to extend her 90 day tourist visa, all you have to do is to go to Homeland Security and ask for extension. They usually will extend for 15 - 30 days.
She will not get an extension of her VISA...
She must leave when it expires.
Even if you marry her..she will still have to
return to Japan while her application for
a ';Green Card'; it is being processed...
That does not mean she will get one.
There are a lot of Hoops to jump through.
You must make at least 125% above the
US Poverty line after Tax's...for at least
the previous three years...Proof of with W-2's.

Any criminal background...No Visa.
She cannot get an extension of stay and is ineligible to adjust status
in the US. If you marry before her departure, you should file an !-130
immigrant visa petition on her behalf which upon approval would be
sent to the US embassy in Japan where she obtain the visa. If you
intend to marry in the US later, you could file a fiance visa petition

if your a US citizen and can prove that you are in love once your marriage certificate is approved legitimate i am pretty sure your good to go! She becomes a US citizen....
