If your not married to the man you live with, and Florida does not have common law marriage?

What is your legal title? If your not married to the man you live with, and Florida does not have common law marriage?
significant other.....maybe domestic partner.....the second one sounds kind of like a homosexual couple thoughIf your not married to the man you live with, and Florida does not have common law marriage?
There is no legal title. You are his roommate and his girlfriend.

It also leaves you with absolutely no legal rights. If the man is injured, his biological family take over. They may not permit you to care for him or even visit him, especially if he is in the hospital. You may be evicted from your place of residence if it is in his name and you may find your personal possessions ';disappear';. And if he dies, you will have no right to bury him or even attend the funeral, and you will inherit nothing. And this is also for you too.

Also, you will have no right to half the accumulated ';marital assets'; as you will be neither married nor ';common law';. You will have no right of support or right to alimony or palimony if the marriage breaks up. You will have no claim on his pension either.

So you will live with a man, make financial contributions, clean up and in turn for all that, he can dump you whenever he pleases and you have no legal recourse at all. He can say to you to ';leave'; and he can move in his new ';friend'; the next day and she will enjoy the fruits of your labor.

My advice? Don't do it. There is an old expression that goes like this, ';if you get the milk free, why buy the cow?'; If the man won't marry you, move on. Plenty more fish in the sea.
Nothing. There is no ';legal'; title for you. Though socially you may be partners, live-in bf/gf, roommate, etc.
Roommate.
Mistress
Girlfriend, roommate, ';friend';, all come to mind.
