When you get married do your spouses debt becomes yours?

My fianc茅e pays child suppport will I have pay it? What I'm asking is will it still be based on his income alone or our combined household income when we get married? When you get married do your spouses debt becomes yours?
you assume his debt and the child support is assessed on total household income, better to just live with the guy...When you get married do your spouses debt becomes yours?
well if you dont help him with his debt and he fails to pay child support, guess who will be ultimately paying his bond to get out of jail?
you will want to check with your states laws.

however commonsence is if you did not sign for the debt you do not owe on it.

his child support is based on 'his income' only and is set by a court. his credit card bills are his.

until you get married pay ONLY your bills.

never ever buy a house until you are married legally.

suggest you visit daveramsey.com to learn how to own your money before it owns you.
Unless you have a prenup

YES - ALL DEBTS AND ALL ASSETS ARE EACH OTHERS

good luck :)
No, you don't have to pay child support.
It should not effect your income, But before you get married to him you need to find out how much debt hes in with his credit cards or has any out standing bills. The one thing that can make or break a marriage is to much debt.
i have 3 kids %26amp; my new husband has 1. the court only asked him about his earnings, not mine. my ex is supposed to pay on only his earnings, not the new g/f. other debt is combined as soon as u get married.
Your income will not be considered in a child support obligation...They only consider the spouse who is legally responsible for the child.
