Do you believe that women have to obey their fiance or only when they get married to them?

In the Bible times a man could be a husband to a wife before marrying them. It was a betrothal period, a step up from engagement. Do you believe that women have to obey their husbands at this point or only after they have a wedding?Do you believe that women have to obey their fiance or only when they get married to them?
I agree with you. The people who get all worked up over this obviously havent read the bible. It says that the husband is the ehad of the house as the Christ s head of the church. We obey christ therefore the woamn shall obey her husband. Sarah(my wife) and I have practiced this since we became offical(in dating). she obeys me. I love honor and respect her. I am her protector and know whats best for her. She knows who the ehad of the household is. She knows my rules are set in place to protect her not to control her. I punish her for her wrong doings as God will punish me for mine.

Hebrews 13:17 says Obey them that have rule over you,and submit yourselves: for they watch for your soulsas they must give account.That they may do it with joy and not grief.for that is unprofitable to you,


Ephesians 5:22 Wives submit yourselves unto your husbands as unto the lord.


23: For the husband is head of the household as christ is ehad of the church and is the savior of the body.24: there foreas the chirch is subject to christ so let the wives be to thier husbandsin everything.

in present times, peeps sure like to state we women Must be submissive to their hubs, if he is a good hubs, we would ';want'; to be submissive, therefore there would be no ';forcing';, and the man understands anywayz why we wouldn't desire submissiveness especially when there is a disagreement or illness and would not even pursue the wife...if he is a truly Godly man, he is a good man, not a slave owner, whereas we would live in fear...God Bless

I don't believe women should have to obey their husbands. What are you, a dog? No - you're a human, and not some guy's property, regardless of whether or not he is your husband/fiance/boyfriend/father/son/brot鈥?I'd like to extend my hand to welcome you into the 21st century, where women aren't property. When I marry I will respect my husband. I will not obey him. When I get engaged I will respect my fiance. I will not obey him. When I get a new boyfriend, I will respect him. I will not obey him.





I will only respect him, through-out all those milestones, if respects me in return, without haste.
Husband and wife, both, should obey eachother:) Infact respect would be the better word, cause.. ';Obey'; is more of a RULE...they have to follow, you know...
Equal partners do not ';obey'; one another -- they work out issues with equal give and take or compromise.





This is the 21st century, after all. Women don't have to obey men.
