We are getting married around memorial day what are some good ideas for the reception dinner?

We are thinking about doing a memorial day cookout theme with BBQ beef sandwiches, potato salad, and various salads, but trying to think of another choice to go along with the BBQ beef.We are getting married around memorial day what are some good ideas for the reception dinner?
Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I love the idea of a cookout, but agree that you should have something else. I would go with some grilled chicken. Between the chicken and the BBQ sandwiches, I would think that would please everyone. It sounds fun!

The barbeque sounds like a lot of fun!

Some alternatives to bbq beef would be bbq chicken, grilled chicken, tuna steak sandwiches or grilled salmon. Personally I would go for a fish choice because so many people don't eat meat at all these days. A nice tuna steak or a grilled salmon would be perfect and both could be put on a bun for sandwiches.

Yes, you should probably have an alternative to the BBQ beef as some people don't eat beef or like BBQ. Maybe just some plain marinated grilled chicken. Easy to do with skinless, boneless chicken breasts. Then that will also take care of those who are trying to eat healthy or are on special diets.
Fresh fruit- cornbread with honey butter- macaroni salad- green bean salad- BBQ beans (good for vegetarians to get their protein, too)- chopped veggies and dip.

Mmmmm.
do some veggie kebobs, fruit kebobs are good too. I did some with pound cake, strawberries, and marshmallows. They are great grilled and perfect for a BBQ wedding too
