Im American if that makes a difference. If I married a canadian would i become a canadian?
Think about what you are saying. I mean do you really want to be canadian? If I married a canadian would i become a canadian?
Either way Canada has easy ways to get in the country they have less strict rules even if your not married to a Canadian in fact its way easier to get in with a canadian wife :) Just do the point system they have and see where it gets you
no, your partner would have to apply and qualify to sponsor you to immigrate

first you get permanent residency then after 3-4 years of living in canada you can apply to become a citizen
u would be kinda technically because u r marrying a canadian and also family laws are canadian your child would be 2
Your Canadian spouse has to petition you for Immigrant visa first.
