What actions can be taking if company has No policy in place about married couples working in same business?

Also no paperwork has been signed by employee about such policy.What actions can be taking if company has No policy in place about married couples working in same business?
A lot of companies have a policy where relatives cannot work for the same company; some can work for the company but not in the same department.

If a company does not have a policy that states a husband and wife cannot be employed by the same company, then no action can be taken.

A company that has a policy where married people cannot work for the same company, it is usually told up front at the interview or during orientation. Companys' usually have a handbook in which that policy would be stated. Sometimes employees have to sign a statement stating they are aware of the policy of no married people/relatives can work for the same company.

If you know of a married couple working for the same company which does not have a policy in place then no action can be taken. The company doesn't have a leg to stand on.What actions can be taking if company has No policy in place about married couples working in same business?
Stop the world I want to get off, with the greatest respect, they don't have to have a policy for everything, yes many , but I have a dog that is a brilliant security guard (its guard dog:) ), the company does not have to have a policy to employ my dog, neither does it concerning married couples, civil partners etc.Yes a duty of care concerning my dog and employees, people on the premises of course.

I am in Industry and concerning people,employees I know about Health and safety, an Employment Law (most is common sense, fair and just) etc.

Today it seems that if it isn't written down, then some say it's an omission, not true.

Sensibility is the order of the day, as is ';reasonably practicable';

Hope this helps
