Just recently married, How do I go about changing my last name legally?

In Missouri, How do I go about legally changing my last name?

Thanks in advance.Just recently married, How do I go about changing my last name legally?
This is such a common question. You could have searched the questions for this and found the same answer that is always given.

Once you receive your marriage license back in the mail, take it, your social security card and drivers license to town one day. Go by the DMV and have the DL changed. They will give you a paper receipt for the DL that is just as good as the card. Then, take it and the marriage license to the SS office and wait in line. There, a name change is free. The name change on the DL will cost, but not much at all. More like $10.Just recently married, How do I go about changing my last name legally?
You should go to Legalcpu.com and ask them they were great help for me. WWW.legalcpu.com

you did it already, you got married... now you've just got to get it updated on all the forms... take your marriage license and go to dept of safety (driver's license), social security, voter registration/county clerk, then bank, etc and update them all.
Take your marriage certificate (or certified copy) to the social security office w/ your drivers license and i think birth certificate too. Fill out paperwork. In a few weeks you will get a new SS card. Do the same thing for the DMV.
Go to http://www.namethatbride.com - it's got all the forms, instructions, and even a checklist. And it's a free resource! Good luck.

Contact your creditors to let them know your name has changed.

Take your marriage license with you when you get a license and your SS card. Get the license first.
call the social security office ! They handle that!
