Why must homosexuals insist on getting married?

Homosexuals and straight people alike keep complaning about ';prop 8'; and the right for homosexuals to marry but I was just thinking, people get married because they love each other, why can't homosexuals just be satisfied with being with each other and not married if they love each other?Why must homosexuals insist on getting married?
Because they want to force their agenda on society. They also want symbolic equality.





You're right about no one needing a government certificate to live monogamously. These homosexuals should just be happy that sodomy isn't illegal and stop with their millitant f4g-agenda.Why must homosexuals insist on getting married?
-Because there are legal rights that they wont have access to with their partners if they are not legally married.


-Allowing straight couples to marry and not gay couples is degrading to the gay couples. It could make them feel as though their relationship is viewed as ';not as real/serious/etc'; as a straight couples. Which is what is going down right now.

Why should they be denied something that others aren't? Its bad enough that people who are gay/bi can feel isolated from being ';different'; but by not allowing them an act that proclaims their love for the other further sets them apart.
The same reason why heterosexuals insist on getting married. I am a heterosexual female, but please just look at it from the other side. What would you do if someone told you that you couldn't marry the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with because someone said you couldn't or because somebody said it wasn't right. How would you feel. Other people's marriages, no matter what their sexuality is, does not concern us.
That is like saying why can't straight people just be satisfied with being in love and not being married? They have just as much of a right to get married as we do! I seriously don't understand what someones sexuality and who they want to spend their life with has to do with anyone else... Is it hurting YOU? I think not.

How many marriages between a man and women end in divorce?





Also when people DARE to say it would ruin the sanctity of marriage, what about people who have been divorced 4 or 5 times. Isn't that ruining the ';sanctity'; of marriage?





Or people who commit adultery? Isn't THAT ruining the sanctity of marriage?

I remember it was a horrific thing for two people to live together. Family would try to convince the man in making a honest woman of her by marrying her. It was said when two people lived together that they were living in sin.





Now it just seems the thing to do. Some wouldn't think of marrying without trying out the goods and there are parents who suggest that it would be better that way. Its as if rebellion is trying to become the norm; would that also be true for homosexuals?





No one gasps as they use to for two men being together, but they do still when they suggest marriage. Have you seen the gay parades? It was weird at one time for homosexuals to have a gay parade; now they have to perform all sorts of acts for all to see. Why?





When Arsenio Hall had his show it was known how much he loved to ogle women. So the female guests would appear with skimpier outfits with every show. How much shorter could an evening dress be? How much tighter? How much deeper will the neckline be? Stephanie Mills came on the show with her dress so tight, so short, and neckline so low that she asked Eddie Murphy for his leather jacket because she was so cold. He denied her seeing he didn't have anything on underneath either. The next female guest couldn't out do that outfit any other way but coming on the show naked. Shortly thereafter, Arsenio Hall was cancelled. What else could he do to out do that? Nothing.





Would this also apply to those who decide to do everything and anything outside of what is expected?
umm, you just answered your question yourself, you said you were thinking, that people get married because they love each other........


Well there are plenty of gay people who love each other, so based on your assessment of why people get married, then therefore why shouldn't they be able to get married. The point is they deserve the same rights that straight people have.
Why can't straight people just be satisifed with ';being with each other';? What valid reason is there for denying gays the right to marry? There is none.





They are humans will feelings just like straights, and deserve the same rights as straights with regard to marriage and the benefits thereof...and the misery for those that feel that way about marriage.

I think this question should be reported. I'm not gay. However say you were. Just for argument sake. Would you want to be in a serious relationship for the rest of you life knowing you can never get his benefits?
what if straight people couldn't get married because they loved each other but homosexuals could, we would want the right to get married just as much as they do.
Why shouldn't the be able to get married if they love each other? Straights can get married - there's no reason to deny that right to any couple that wants it, regardless of gender.
Your argument makes no sense, and is actually quite contradicting.
If it doesn't affect your life why do you care what they do.





Worry about your own life not what others are doing with theirs.
