What was the REAL reason behind Lot giving the mob his virgin daughters? Were his daughters married at all?

Was He giving his daughters to their husbands who were among the mob outside his door? Did He even realize that these Sodomites were supposed to be homosexuals?

Sorry, but I am still searching for some logic in this story...

And despite the fact that Lot was described as a ';righteous'; man, I am still trying to find ';that perspective'; somewhere. What was the REAL reason behind Lot giving the mob his virgin daughters? Were his daughters married at all?
These men were making homosexual advances toward the angels that were visiting Lot. They came to tell Lot to get his family out. My thinking is that it would be better for the men to take his virgin daughters than to insult Gods angels with such a horrendous request of homosexual acts or wickedness in Lots words. They forced themselves in Lots home and were smote with blindness and could barely get out. I think Lot knew that God would protect his daughters because he offered them to protect his angels.. Lot went to his son-in-laws and had them take his daughters out of the city. Then he went back and got his wife and two daughters and left as well. There were 4 or more daughters. Some were already married to the fore-mentioned son-in-laws. Two were not married as Lot described them as not having ';known'; man. What was the REAL reason behind Lot giving the mob his virgin daughters? Were his daughters married at all?
He thought he was sparing the angels by giving the daughters he declared having never known man. I find it hilarious of one say they're seeking truth, and in their words there is not even the foundation for truth, that's the logic you seek, spiritually speaking of course.

As for being righteous, logically speaking it is simply he ';believed God';.

O, you see all the time different ones here trying to entrap someone into saying the wrong words, What I want to know what is the benefit in that. No pun nor insult intended that is the reason why I keep telling people that this kind of discussion is strengthening to the soul
The culture of that time was that you protected your house guests to the death. Lot knew that the young men that the girls were engaged to had family members that would not have taken rape of the girls lightly. Also, these men who were trying to get to the angels were homosexuals, not interested in women. Lot too, may have thought that his actions would have shocked some sense into the men and they would go away. He also knew that his house guests were angels and had the power to protect him and his daughters. In any event, Lot was certain that there was no real danger to his daughters. He showed extreme faith that God would not allow any harm to come to his daughters. Much as Abraham knew that if he sacrificed his son Isaac, that God could resurrect him. Faith is an important possession of people who worship the true God, Jehovah.
Lots daughters were engaged to men who were in the area that this was going on. All the men there knew this and would not touch them because being engaged is closely considered to be married. These men were specifically looking for men to have sex with ... not women ... even virgins.

Lot also knew these visiting men (angels) had the power to see to it that his daughters would not be hurt. His faith was great.
if they were homosexuals, it may have thrown them that these women came out i dno

although, i think lot's daughters were engaged to be married, so the husbands-to-be may have been in the crowd, and maybe would divide the mob (with others lol).

but in the culture at that time, it was necessary for the householder to protect his guests - with his life if necessary

he likely did realise they were homosexuals because they said ';bring out the men in there that we may have intercourse with them'; and so this came about
He was responsible for the men since he took them in and if they were harmed it would be soley blamed on him and unforgivable. He tried to give his daughters because that was more acceptable back then.
He was upholding the sacred laws of hospitality when he sacrificed his own to protect the strangers.
He rather give his daughters to the mob instead of 2 messengers of god. I don't understand it either.

But later when he is living in a cave, his daughters rape him.
Well, he had to save his house guests from a mob of horny guys. What else could he do but send out his virgin daughters? The goat didn't cut it.

Personally, I would have invented the shotgun.

But then, I don't subscribe to the same laws of hospitality like they did in those days.
I HAVEN'T READ THAT STORY IN A LONG TIME BUT IF ITS THE ONE I'M THINKING ABOUT HE DOESN'T END UP GIVING THEM TO THE MOB
He did it for the lulz.
This story was the origin of the saying, Thanks a Lot
