My mother just got remarried this past weekend. As usual, I didn't remember that etiquitte requires I give her something. i was in the wedding and had already spent a lot of money and don['t really have any to spare at the moment but I know I need to get them something. i would like to give them something special, but I need it to be inexpensive. The gift I wanted to get them was a ornament for their first christmas together, but someone else already did.
What else is a inexpensive gift that will have meaning behind it and they would keep or use for a long time? What should i buy my mother who just got married?
How about a nice picture of her holding you dearly in her arms? Black and white shot in an old-looking frame (Dollar Store?) Now, I'm not a mother, but I am convinced it would warm her heart and brighten her X-mas. Happy thoughts from Canada (North Pole)What should i buy my mother who just got married?
A picture frame or his and hers towels (with king and queen printed on them) from a gift shop
They usually make a list of gifts, look there.
Everyone is suggesting pictures, which I think are lovely gifts, but why not add a twist to it? I am sure you took pictures at the wedding or have a close family member that did. Go to any drug store and use their photo center, get copies of the ones you like best. You can even brighten them up a little with features that an associate can help you with. You can crop, add hearts, frames, anything. Then sit down and do a kinda mini scrap book from you and your kids. You can send that in the mail and not have to worry about the glass breaking, as you would with a picture frame. Hope this helps!!
Prepare Christmas Dinner
A framed picture of them on their wedding day.
oh my GOD how old are you?
If you have some time, creativity and any skill with a needle, make some sort of sampler with their names and their wedding date on it. It doesn't have to be complicated--you could just stitch some beads on plain fabric and be done in a couple hours.
A picture frame that's wedding-themed. Many stores will have them, and some can be real nice. I saw one the other day, that was two ''rings'', and it said ';With this ring, I thee wed';.
